Comments

Environmentally friendly materials were used to build this hotel. And great care is taken to keep the indoor air quality high -- no scented products, no shoes that bring outdoor pollutants and dirt in, and all natural decor.

This hotel is adjacent to open space, forest, a state park, and a national park. The valley they are in is an organic farming center.

Reviews

Wonderful stay at an organic/sustainable small BnB with organic mattress, organic bedding, organic towels. They even have silk curtains and bedspread dyed without chemical dyes. Floors were bamboo with a few 100% organic wool and cotton area rugs. Bedding comforters are organic wool and organic cotton covers. Bathroom and shower are tiled. All environmental fragrance-free cleaning products. Organic food and snacks. HEPA/carbon all metal air purifier. HEPA/miele vacuum. Safe for guests who have chemical sensitivities. Very little plastic - even the trash cans and recycle bins are metal. Organic coffee and tea with all kinds of things like hemp, soy, almond, rice and organic grassfed milks, organic grassfed local cheese, organic fruit, bulk Dr. Bronner's soaps in the shower, low flush toilet, reminders about water usage, great views, walk out the door to hiking trails, in nature, nice artwork from local artists, library of books on sustainability and eco-living, recycle bin in the room, reminders to keep lights off when not in use, etc. Fabulous small place big enough for one couple, with a room to use for conferences. No wifi, but Internet with cable. No smart meter - so pretty safe from electro-magnetic fields too. Love this place. Did hiking, bicycling, organic cheese tasting, wine tasting, national forest hiking. Will come back. Highly recommended.

Review this hotel

This website is for you and your fellow green travelers. You can make it more useful by sharing your travel experiences at the different environmentally friendly hotels or eco-lodges you stay in. The more comments and reviews we have on the hotels in the database, the more you and other environmentally conscious travelers have to go on for making decisions.

When you review a hotel, the information we are looking for is what your experience was; how you felt about what you saw and did in regards to the hotel. Did you notice any environmentally sensitive steps taken that aren't covered by either the attributes list or the hotel's website? For example, were the shower curtains fabric rather than plastic, the wastebasket unlined, or did the room smell fresh without having been perfumed? Does the housekeeping staff honor the towel/sheet program? Are Styrofoam products offered at any food establishments connected to the environmentally friendly hotel? We want the good and the bad so other green travelers can make informed decisions.

There are lots of little things that go into making a great experience, and lots of little things that go into making a great green experience. That's what we are looking for in the reviews we receive. All comments and submissions become the property of HealthyStays.com, LLC and may be published.
