Review:
My family stayed at the DeSoto Oceanview Inn in the hottest part of summer, 2007. We had a small, clean efficiency. I was impressed with the beautiful landscaping outside and the convenience of being so close to the beach. I was not happy with the temperature of our room. We moved from our first efficiency just after arriving because the AC was not producing cool air. The second room produced cool air and we waited forever for it to cool the room, but it never got cool. We slept without covers that night and with the fan wide open, but the room did not finally cool off until about 4AM. Then it was hot again at 7AM when the sun had been up a short while. Basically, the AC unit was not large enough to cool the somewhat large efficiency despite running all day and night. I do not find this factor to be very environmentally friendly since it wastes a lot of energy. Also, I did not see any recycling bins as this website claims for them to have.
