Reviews

I had a wonderful stay at the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower. I read about this Sofitel in Newsweek as being a "green" hotel, so the PR was very good. During my meeting, the water was not pre-poured, which I was happy to see. Plastic cups were not used. Many organic and fresh ingredients were offered in Cafe des Architectes, the hotel's restaurant and during my meetings. I was very pleased.

The guest rooms are contemporary and sleek. They have a minimalist European look with plenty of natural light. I found my room very comfortable, especially the pillowtop bed. It was like melting into a cloud!

The bathroom amenities were individual, but that is what I expect in a luxury hotel

Review this hotel

This website is for you and your fellow green travelers. You can make it more useful by sharing your travel experiences at the different environmentally friendly hotels or eco-lodges you stay in. The more comments and reviews we have on the hotels in the database, the more you and other environmentally conscious travelers have to go on for making decisions.

When you review a hotel, the information we are looking for is what your experience was; how you felt about what you saw and did in regards to the hotel. Did you notice any environmentally sensitive steps taken that aren't covered by either the attributes list or the hotel's website? For example, were the shower curtains fabric rather than plastic, the wastebasket unlined, or did the room smell fresh without having been perfumed? Does the housekeeping staff honor the towel/sheet program? Are Styrofoam products offered at any food establishments connected to the environmentally friendly hotel? We want the good and the bad so other green travelers can make informed decisions.

There are lots of little things that go into making a great experience, and lots of little things that go into making a great green experience. That's what we are looking for in the reviews we receive. All comments and submissions become the property of HealthyStays.com, LLC and may be published.
