| King Pacific Lodge Princess Royal Island, British Columbia, Canada While this property is making headway into being green and sustainable, it doesn't meet our minimum standards to be displayed on the site. We hope the management will step up and take more green actions so it can be displayed again. |
Comments:
This hotel was founded with a sustainable approach to business and with eco-friendly tourism in mind. This is a floating hotel that is towed from Prince Rupert to Princess Royal Island where it operates May through September.
The hotel supports the local community and indigenous people through a variety of programs, including throug employment.
The hotel offsets the carbon dioxide created by the roundtrip air travel of its guests through alternative energy production and dealing with vendors who are sensitive to their pollution.
