Hotel Submission Form
This website is for you, an environmentally concerned and proactive green traveler. We are striving to have the honestly green hotels for you to choose from. Ultimately, you are the one to tell us how the hotel truly rates. Hearing your comments with reviews is one way we can keep the database of environmentally friendly hotels accurate. If you want to add a hotel to this directory, be sure to tell the hotelier you are doing so; we'll be contacting them to make sure they satisfy all of the requirements for a listing on our site.
This site is also for hotel owners and operators. If you run a green and sustainable hotel, we want to know about it. You are welcome to submit your hotel for consideration for inclusion as well. Here are the requirements for being listed on this directory:
- submission must be filled out in its entirety with the criteria that you have met marked and any bonus green features described in detail
- basic green criteria need to be met, including energy and water conservation measures in place
- any clarification that is requested must be answered in full
- must promote green on the website's main page in some way; ideally with a link to your green page describing in detail what green initiatives you have taken
- a link back to EnvironmentallyFriendlyHotels.com must be included on your main page - this basic HTML provides a link with logo (copy the contents of the box and paste into your website code):

The "Comments" section of the form is for sharing information about the hotel's green actions, not sales information. Comments like how they participate in the community, the extent to which they are dedicated to sustainability (locally made furtinure out of recycled materials, for example), and other green measures you know the takes. Be sure to add a comment in this section so the spam blockers won't throw your entry away.
The "Review" section of the database is for sharing your travel experience with others. Share details -- especially environmental action you experienced during your stay. Confirm whether the green actions indicated here are true, and add information not shown on the checklist. We want details that show more about the hotel's level of committment to sustainable hospitality. Details like the wastebaskets aren't lined with plastic bags, the shower curtains are cloth (especially if cotton), live plants adorn guestrooms and/or common areas, etc.
