Tabernash is in the middle of the Winter Park Valley, Grand County, Colorado's playground. In the summer you can hike, bike, fish, sail, and kayak. You can play in Rocky Mountain National Park or at Winter Park's various food or music festivals. In the winter you can snow shoe or cross country ski on the miles of tracks on on the untracked hills of Devil's Thumb Ranch; you can drive a short distance to two different ski areas for some wonderful downhill skiing; and of course, snowmobiling is available in Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park.
